Welcome to Helen Winterson

A new season is upon us with deliveries of sumptuous autumn fashions arriving every day.

Jewel colours predominate with amethyst purples, garnet and ruby reds and sapphire blues beautiful rich colours often teamed with grey and black. We also have collections featuring gold and bronze. Tailoring is strong again particularly with the return of the skirt suit represented by Marella, Max Mara Studio and Evelyn Brandt.

The silhouette is often long and lean with many designers including long line tunics within their collections which can be teamed with the new narrow trousers. The leggin has moved on to the “jeggin” or “treggin” both of which provide a grown up fit with the fashion edge. These can be worn tucked into boots or with high shoes for a sophisticated evening look.

Another new trouser shape is the “carrot leg” these are fuller round the thigh tapering to the knee and ankle. Great with waistcoats and blouses. A pair of heeled brogues completes this particular look for the season.

Dresses are still very strong from long sleeved day dresses through to the timeless Little Black Dress. Fabrics ranging from silk jerseys to fine tweeds. Marella and Max Mara Studio amongst others have presented some lovely dresses within their collections suitable for many occasions from the office to a cocktail party.

Skirts are either short and flirty teamed with tailored jackets or coordinating knitwear for a softer look or we have longer length skirts in textured fabrics.

There are coordinated collections from Apriori, Basler, Betty Barclay, Lucia and Gerry Weber to name but a few and more classic styling is catered for by Habella and Frank Walder

We have a very strong range of occasion and partywear this season from Gina Bacconi, Marella and Joyce Ridings. We have some very elegant cocktail dresses from Tom Bowker. Two pieces from Chianti, Georgede & Gold. Also Roberto Naldi from Italy returns with the special blend of feminine jersey separates.

NEW this season we are delighted to introduce the Sylvia Heise label specialising in beautifully tailored separates with a twist. Also new to our contemporary section this season is Tomo a collection of unstructured separates which will sit alongside Crea Concept, Ischiko, Oska, Sulu and Sarah Pacini.

In knitwear we have taken a capsule collection from John Smedley. A boutique range manufactured in Derbyshire from fine Merino wool, richly coloured pieces with simple striking silhouettes. Another new knitwear label is Monari from Italy offering chunky knits for those chilly days. The new ranges complement our existing knitwear collections from Aldo Martin and Evalinka.

Accessories

Accessories can complete the outfit with real style and individuality and this season we are pleased to offer jewellery from Topazglow and Amber Moda. Both collections contain individual pieces specially selected to complement both classic and contemporary outfits.

Once again we have a range of stunning scarves and wraps by Passigatti and leather belts by Stephen Collins.
